AUTOMATIC LINE TEST OF TABLES RELATED TO MAX. AND MIN. VALUES

The automatic calculation of the line carries out the test relating to every span, setting the carrier trucks to the most significant points. The maximum and minimum values found out relating to every tested condition are carried to the following tables and graphical representations:

1) TABLE : spans and towers

2) TABLE : tensions on the haul rope

Graphical test and generation of the DXF file of the line (ropes, ground profile and towers)

the "See the Line" pushbutton makes it possible the visual check of the geometrical configuration of the ropes in the spans and to check the vertical clearance from the ground:

The pushbuttons provided on the upper tool bar make it possible to select the different displays (max. and min. values for the carrying rope and the haul rope).

The <GENERA DXF> pushbutton starts the procedure for the generation of the DXF dile, and this mask is prompted to the User:

Two different sections are provided: the upper one is designed for the setting of the parameters of the diagram, the lower one is for the generation of the DXF file.

Selecting the format of the sheet:

to define the format of the work sheet. The procedure automatically checks that the format of the sheet is compatible with the representation scale, pointing out incongruities, where any. For the user format it is required to define the height of the sheet ( in cm) (by default = 100) in the cell with yellow background.

Types of project:

it is handled in automatic mode and it only refers to the value to be given to the inclination of the towers. If also the design of the towers has been carried out, there is available the file with the values for the inclination of the towers. If this is not so, the User cannot find the tower inclination file, therefore, the program starts the approximate calculation according to the formula below:

Scale of the drawing:

it is the value selected for the graphical representation ( = 500 by default on both axes)

Test:

The pushbutton <PREPARA> makes it possible to find the graphical representation parameters as a function of the format of the sheet and representation scale. The values in the cells with grey background cannot be changed, and they only serve for the control of the procedure : the values in the cells with yellow background can be changed before enabling the commands <DISEGNO TERRENO>
and <DISEGNO TERRENO-LINEA>

The <DISEGNO TERRENO> and <DISEGNO TERRENO-LINEA> pushbutton make it possible to generate the preview of the graphical representation, exactly as it will plotted on the sheet after carrying the DXF file to the suitable graphics program (Autocad or the alike). Quì sotto si mostra un esempio:

NB: the colours used in the graphical representation can be handled by the user through the mask below.

Upon completion of the visual check of the graphical representation, it is possible to go on generating the DXF file to be used with the specific plotting programs. In this stage the user is provided with the following graphical variable Autocad functions according to the requirements of the DXF format:

COLOR :

clicking the coloured areas, in coincidence with the title relevant to the layer defined in the adiacent label on the left, it is possible to change the colour assigned to that specific layer (the Autocad colour code displays automatically). Scanning of the available colours is by subsequent clicks.

LAYER NAME:

it is possible to change the name assigned by default to the layers in the drawing

NAZIONE:

it is possible to select the Language for the writings in the legend at the bottom of the drawing

ABILITA:

there is the possibility to have displayed only the ground profile, or the line profile or the complete drawing showing line and ground profiles

The changed parameters are replaced by those by default (above mentioned) every time that this procedure is started up: anyhow, they can be set permanently through the save pushbutton.

3) TABLE : tension laying values for the carrying rope

4) TABLE : tensions in the haul rope and calculation of the required power for the power unit

4) DIAGRAM  : stress run on the winding drum in the power unit
