LINE GEOMETRY DATA INPUT

( relative input mode )

Up to 79 spans can be selected (including the station ones: pulleys-forestation axis) assigning the values relevant to horizontal distances and differences in height between pairs of subsequent towers.

Four pushbuttons are available for:
- addition of a new line

- deletion of a line
- table emptying
- calculus of the absolute values relevant to the progressive distances and heights of the rope on the towers (Absolute Values Calculation)

The first two pushbuttons are only active for a certain position of the mose (on the Span Number column): suitable coloured label shows the actual condition. In the example below, the User clicked the cell relevant to Span NR.2, therefore, the line addition/deletion pushbutton is enabled. Obviously, for the exact calculation of the absolute values, it is necessary that the value relevant to the progressive distance and height of the rope on the first downstream tower is given (usually, this value is coinciding with the downstream pulley axis).

.

NB:
For data input confirmation, click the "Absolute Values Calculation". In this way, the program automatically finds out the geometrical values relevant to the progressive distance and height of the rope on the suspended haul rope supports and it fills in the previous "absolute values" data input sheet in automatic mode. Absolute values calculation also includes the definition of the height of the ground at the base of the towers: the number of rollers in the roller assemblies must be loaded directly in the Absolute Values table.
