LINE GEOMETRY DATA

( absolute input mode)

Handling of the geometrical arrangement of line towers (rope apex on ascent and descent branches) is carried out through the following data input mask:

Up to 80 towers can be selected (rope apex, including the pulley-forestation axis), assigning the absolute values for the rope progressive distance and height. Freight ropeways do not feature non parallel branches: the relevant mask is kept but not available.

There are three pushbuttons available, respectively for:

- adding a new line

- deleting a line

- emptying the table

- finding the lenght and difference in height of the single spans (Relative Values Calculation).

The first two pushbuttons are only active for a certain position of the mouse (on the column showing the tower number). In the example below, the user clicked the cell relevant to tower NR.4, therefore, the line addition/deletion pushbutton is enabled.

For line calculation, the values relevant to the columns "Rope Progr.Distance" and "Rope Height" are indispensable: the remaining values can be omitted (or added later).

NB:
For data input confirmation, click the "Relative Values Calculation" pushbutton. In this way, the geometrical span lenght and difference in height values are found in automatic mode, and the subsequent input sheet is filled in with the relative values.
