LINE GEOMETRY DATA INPUT
( relative input mode )

Up to 79 spans can be loaded (including the station spans: pulley-forestation axis), setting the values relevant to the horizontal distance and difference in height between pairs of subsequent towers. In the case of non parallel branch systems, it is also provided the possibility to describe the state of the descent line branch.

There are three pusbuttons available for the addition of a line, the deletion of a line and the calculation of the values relevant to the progressive distance and height of the rope on the towers (Absolute Values Calculation). The two first pushbuttons are only active for a certain position of the mouse (on the Span NR.column); suitable coloured label shows the actual condition. In the example below, the user clicked the cell relevant to span number 4, therefore, the line addition/deletion pushbutton is enabled. Obviously, for the exact calculation of the absolute values, it is necessary to load the values relevant to the progressive distance and height of the rope on the first downstream tower (usually, it is coinciding with the downstream pulley axis).

NB:
For data input confirmation, click the "Absolute Values Calculation" pushbutton. In this ways, the geometrical values relevant to the progressive distance and height of the rope on the towers are found in automatic mode, and the previous input sheet relevant to the "absolute values" of the line is filled in automatically.

Calculation of the absolute values also includes the definition of the values relevant to the ground height at the base of the towers and the vertical height of the towers; the number of rollers in the roller assemblies must be directly loaded into the "Absolute Values table".
