VERTICAL LINE CLEARANCES TEST

Upon completion of line tests, there is the possibility to test the geometrical run of the carrying rope in the spans, then, that of the vertical clearances of the rope from the ground. To do this, use the pushbutton shown here aside.

Enabling of the "line clearances test" function makes it possible to have the following mask displayed, wherein we find:
"Print" push button

"Zoom All" push button to have the size of the screen displayed drawing changed."Exit" push button
NB: the "save" function is not available at this stage

A second pull-down menu is provided to select the test hypothesis. Two sets of "option" push buttons are provided to highlight the deflections and vertical clearances relating to different line conditions. Note that, relating to clearances, it is possible to take snow thickness and carriage height values into an account

The size of the line graphical representation can be changed (zoom-forward) by depressing the right key of the mouse and dragging until getting the required zoom size: return to full screen size of the graph is possible through "Zoom All". At present, the zoom-backwards function is not available.

Note that mouse move is linked to an arrow which scrolls engaged to the profile of the ground, thus making it possible to read the values for the progressive distance, height, slope %, vertical height between the rope and the ground within the span and for the vertical clearance between the rope and the ground (in compliance with the vertical clearances table). Now, it is shown the graphical representation for the case where it is given the height of snow on the ground (note that, relating to the same location, the vertical clearance takes into an account 1 m of snow - clearance values changed from 14,73 to 13,73 m):

Mouse passage on the towers highlights the relevant identification abbreviation: at this position, double clicking makes it possible to get further information!
