MAIN MENU

 

The Main Menu mask subdivides into two separate sections: one is for the operations to be carried out before DATA INPUT, the other one is for the analysis of the OUTPUT DATA.  

Before carrying out the test, the user must load the characteristic data of the plant, precisely:

· General data (carrying capacity, speed, rope, counterweight, etc....), listed in the relevant mask

· Data relevant to the geometry of the ground (progressive distances and absolute values)

· Data relevant to the geometry of the line: absolute values (height and progressive distance) and relative values (length and span difference in height)

The "Line calculus" command makes it possible to get the following printouts

· Carrying rope : printout of tension, deflection and mouth angle values for each single span

· Carrying rope : summary print out of max. and min. tension, deflection, pressure values for the different positions of the carriage on the span (automatic test)

· Haul rope  : summary print out of max. and min. tension, deflection, pressure values for the different positions of the carriage on the span (automatic test)

· Carrying rope laying data table

· Summary printout of the required power values for plant operation according to the different geometrical configurations of the carriages on the line. The program makes it possible to have it shown the run of the power unit stress as well as that relating to the haul rope tension on the driving pulley.

Similarly to all the other program sections, there is the possibility to access the on line Help or return to the Main Menu.
From the Main Menu it is possible to return to the Home Page, then, to exit from the procedure!
