LINE GEOMETRICAL DATA INPUT

( input mode )

Up to 79 spans can be loaded (station spans included: pulley-forestation axis), setting the values relating to the horizontal distances and difference in height between pairs of subsequent towers.

Four pushbuttons are provided for:
- addition of a new line
- deletion of a line
- table emptying
- calculation of progressive distance values and absolute values for the rope on the towers (Calculation of absolute values).

The first two pushbuttons are only active for a certain position of the mouse (on the span number column): suitable coloured label shows the actual condition. In the example below, the user clicked the cell relevant to tower NR.4, thus, the pushbutton for line addition or line deletion is enabled. Of course, to obtain the exact absolute values, it is required to load the values for the rope progressive distance and rope height at the first downstream tower (usually, coinciding with the axis of the downstream pulley).

It is possible to load the geometrical position of the suspended haul rope supports (where any) in the span. To do this, there are provided the following cells in the input mask:

Those celles named C1,C2,C3,C4,C5 may show the horizontal distance of the suspended haul rope support from to the downstream span end: up to 5 suspended haul rope supports can be positioned. The program will find the configuration of the carrying rope and counter rope, keeping into an account the presence of the suspended haul rope supports.

NB:
For data input confirmation, click the "Absolute Values Calculation" In this way, the geometrical values for the progressive rope distance and rope height at the towers are calculated in automatic mode, and the previous "absolute values" data input sheet is filled in automatically.
Absolute values calculation also includes the definition of the height of the ground at the base of the towers and the vertical height of the tower: the number of rollers shall be loaded directly into the Absolute Values table.
