LINE GEOMETRY DATA INPUT

( absolute input mode )

Handling of the geometrical arrangement of line towers (ropes in the roller assemblies on ascent and descent branches) is carried out by means of the following data input mask:

Up to 80 line towers can be loaded, setting the absolute values for the rope progressive distance and height values. Non parallel branches are excluded from rope-way systems: the relevant mask has been kept for homogeneity reasons, but cannot be used.

Three pushbuttons are provided for the following, respectively:
- addition of a new line
- deletion of a line
- table emptying
- calculation of the length and difference in height for each single span.

The first two pushbuttons are only active for a certain position of the mouse (on the column showing the tower number): a suitable coloured label shows the actual condition. In the example below, the Tower NR.4 cell has been clicked, thus, the pushbutton for the addition of a new line or the deletion of that line is now enabled.

For line calculation, the values relating to the "Rope Progr.distance" and "Rope Height" columns are of fundamental importance; the other values can be omitted (or loaded later)

NB:
For data input confirmation, click the "Calculation of Relative Values" pushbutton. In this way, it is carried out in automatic mode the calculation of the geometrical values for the lengths and difference in height of the spans, and, it is filled in automatically the subsequent data input sheet.
