LINE GEOMETRIC DATA INPUT
(relative input mode)

There is the possibility to enter to 79 spans (snub bull wheel and drive bull wheel included); each span is identified by the values relating to horizontal distance and difference in height between pairs of subsequent towers. If the two line branches are not parallel, there is also the possibility to define the descent branch.

There are three pushbuttons available for line adding, line deleting and for the calculation of the progressive distances and absolute heights of the rope on the towers (Absolute Values Calculus) The two first pushbuttons can only be enabled according to a specific cursor positioning (on the span number column). Suitable coloured label shows actual condition. In the example below, the cursor is marking the cell of span nr.4, thus, the pushbutton for line adding or deleting is enabled. Obviously, for the exact calculation of the absolute values, it is required to provide the values of the progressive distances and height at the first bottom tower (usually coinciding with the axis of the bottom bull wheel)

REMARK:
When the input process is finished, depress the "Find absoluted values" pushbutton for confirmation. In this way, all the progressive distance and altitude values are found in automatic mode. Further, also the previous Absolute Values Table (Excel sheet) is automatically filled in.

Absolute Values calculation also includes the land height at the base of the towers and the vertical height of the towers, whereas, the number of rollers should be entered directly into the Absolute Values Table
